Barry
Scheck, Peter Neufeld and the late Johnnie L. Cochran, Jr., formed
the Firm in 1998 to formalize their efforts to address individual
and systemic civil rights violations nationwide. The Firm currently
represents those who have been victims of police, prison and other
forms of official misconduct, as well as those who have been wrongfully
convicted. In addition to its core civil rights practice, the
Firm is involved in discrimination, First Amendment and other constitutional
litigation
CNS has successfully represented numerous clients in police abuse
and wrongful conviction cases against police departments throughout
the country. These cases have led to significant systemic
reforms in police departments nationwide and numerous large monetary
settlements for our clients.
